Color: Silvery gray or black
Importance: Main use is for the “lead” in pencils. Is highly conductive, making it useful in electrical circuits. Also used as a lubricant because of its greasy texture.
Other Interesting Information: Has a very low durability. Often smudges, wears down, and fractures, making it less than ideal for many purposes.
My Take: One of the more fun minerals to play with. You can actually draw or write with it. Not many other minerals can do this.
